European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research

The European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research (EIBIR) is a non-profit research organisation dedicated to the coordination of research projects. It aims to support the development of biomedical imaging technologies and the dissemination of knowledge. It was established on the initiative of The European Society of Radiology (ESR) in 2006 and funded by the European Commission within Framework Programme 6.

EIBIR’s mission is to improve cooperation within the European biomedical imaging community, with the goal of improving the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. The organisation actively supports research networking activities, common initiatives, and interoperability in the field of biomedical imaging research by providing services in proposal writing, project management and taking the lead in dissemination and communication activities.

Role in the project

Within ENDOMIX, EIBIR acts as project management partner (WP8) and leads the work package on dissemination, science-to-policy translation and exploitation (WP7).

Team

Katharina Krischak

Katharina Krischak holds Master’s degrees in English, German Philology, and Celtic Studies from the University of Vienna. Prior to joining the EIBIR team in August 2014, she gained experience working at the European Commission in Brussels and the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.

Katharina has 10 years of experience in managing and disseminating the results of EU-funded projects, including Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020 and COST actions. She is currently involved in the coordination and dissemination of several projects. Katharina coordinates the ODELIA project and leads its dissemination activities. She acts as dissemination manager of the AI-POD project and serves as work package leader for dissemination in the CHAIMELEON project. In additon, she is involved in the cooridination of the HyperProbe project.

Within ENDOMIX, Katharina is involved in the management of the project and leads the dissemination work package.

Valentina Belmar Erilkin

Valentina Belmar Erilkin holds a diploma in Translation and Interpreting from Universidad de Concepción in Chile. In 2021, she graduated with a Master’s Joint Degree in Global Studies – A European Perspective from the University of Leipzig and the University of Vienna.

Prior to joining the EIBIR team in February 2023, Valentina worked with the G-77 Vienna Chapter at the United Nations Headquarter in Vienna. 

Valentina coordinates the Med-IPUT project and leads its dissemination activities. She acts as well as dissemination manager of the EUCAIM project. Within ENDOMIX, Valentina is involved in the management of the projects and supports the dissemination work package.
